fasternlightbot: (slow-mo running)

Surprisingly, it only took Quick half the time to get out of the second box than it did the first. After waking up to the dripping of water, flipping out for almost a whole day, and trying to copy what he did before to no avail, he came to the conclusion that whoever was doing this knew he didn't like to stay still and was torturing him by forcing him to do so. The key, therefore, was to not move or to move as little as possible. Quick of course chose the second and was eventually released. Again he made a mad dash for the house and Crash, his clothes muddy from the water and the run up the mountain.

Well at least Quick won't be dragging his muddy and wet self into the house, as Crash is outside with the Pipi today. Completely unaware of the approaching Quick or the other robot's run in with trauma boxing again.

Crash better be prepared for a full on tackle then, because Quick isn't slowing down.

It's not like Crash needs his spine intact, or his head undented, and he is made to withstand heavy impacts. That and not expecting full speed Quick tackle and Crash goes down with a very loud crack when they hit the ground.

Quick is dazed for second, but then latches onto Crash, babbling.

Crash will need a moment. He's got the robot equivalent to a concussion. And the pipi freaking out and Quick's babbling isn't helping.

The babbling stops after a moment, as Quick runs out of things to say.

That is good except... "Jung?" Something got knocked loose cause that's not what Crash meant to say.

Quick peers at Crash oddly. He was still in a panic so is under the impression that he's going too fast to understand what Crash is saying. This at least gets him to try and calm down sooner than he would normally, but does nothing to fix the real problem.

Crash stares right back at Quick, before trying again. "Jung unccrarq abj?" And he blinks, because that was not what he was saying all. Well that is it's all gibberish.

As far as he knew, he was keeping up with the sounds, but the words still didn't make any sense. Maybe he broke something; he wouldn't doubt it with how much time he'd been in that small space.

"Crash?" But then why did what he say sound fine?

"... V guvax lbh oebxr fbzrguvat, Dhvpx." Crash just made a frustrated sound now, because everything came out wrong and weird and what the heck. He hit his head when Quick tackled him but this was just weird. And the pipi was making annoyed sounds and if Quick is paying attention Crash looks just a bit frustrated.

He is and recognizes what's going on. He'd been there before, though not the same way Crash was right now.

"What's wrong? Can you... show me?" Since talking was out, there were many other options for communication.

Crash made a slight pushing motion, since he can't really show Quick much with the older robot on top of him after the tackling. And once Crash can get himself into a sitting position he'll just sort of...

Pantomime being tackled and smacking his head with a hand and hopefully Quick will get it.

Quick will scoot over so he's sitting next to Crash instead of on top of him and what the motions, frowning guiltily when he realizes what happened.

"O-oh. I... lets get Kats to fix it!" He immediately starts pulling Crash to his feet.

"Jung?! Ab, ur'yy zrff fbzrguvat hc naq V'yy or jbefr!" Crash blurts out, panicking and not really caring that Quick can't understand a single thing he said. Although he doesn't stop Quick from pulling him to his feet.

He might be missing the words, but the tone and Crash's panicking are easy enough to figure out. "What's wrong with Kats?"

Crash will frantically point as his head and then shake his head no. He doesn't want Kats playing around with anything that delicate. That and Kats no longer lived in the house anymore, so he's going to try and get that little tidbit across to Quick as well.

And probably fail at it, but hey. E for effort.

"Your head... something's messed up so- no, but... Kats can't mess with your head? Okay.... And the house is... huh?" This was so confusing, but Quick was determined to figure it out.

"Ur'yy znxr vg jbefr orpnhfr ur qbrfa'g jbex jvgu obgf oenvaf!" He's just going to shout that over and over and hope Quick gets the message that, to Crash's knowledge, Kats has never worked on the mind of bots like them.

Repeating some of the sounds Crash is gibbering, Quick tries to make sense of them, but it's just too much. "Um, can you try shorter sentences, Crash?"

Oh so much frustration as he speaks now. "Lbh'er fghcvq Dhvpx!"

Again it is the tone that tells Quick what Crash has said isn't exactly friendly and he frowns. But it was a shorter sentence and there weren't that many insults to be thrown around unless you started getting creative and Crash was too frustrated for that.

"Well you can't expect me to get it on my first try."

It's not that Crash is frustrated at Quick, he's more frustrated that he can't get what he means across easily. He sighs.

"V'z fbeel. Guvf fhpxf." It's apologetic, but there's still the frustration on those last two words. Since he's trying to get across that he thinks this sucks.

This time he gets it. Two short sentences, apologetic tone, then frustration again. There was only one thing Crash could have said there.

"It's okay. It does suck, doesn't it. I shouldn't have run into you like I did."

Just makes a frustrated noise, because what he wants to say is way to long and he's sure Quick won't understand him at all. So instead he's just going to lean against Quick now.

Quick wraps his arm around Crash and holds him tight. Everything he'd been freaking about earlier is forgotten so he can focus on making Crash feel better.

"We'll figure something out, okay? Like.... how do you feel about asking the Doc to fix it?"

"Ah..." He's thinking about it, since with Wily at least he knows for sure it can't be made worse. But then again, he might get yelled at for having something so basic get messed up. "... Lrnu, gur Qbp vf tbbq."

It's a resigned answer, but hey it's Wily or be stuck like this and hope that maybe it'll go back to normal in a bit.

Quick didn't mind and off they went. It'd be nice not needing to puzzle out what Crash meant.
